Hazwoper 40 Hour Course
This course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment, OSHA regulations. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120 (e). Please note that 8 hours of hands-on training is required for the 40 hour Hazwoper course and can be completed by a qualified instructor. The three days field experience under a trained, experienced supervisor is the responsibility of the students employer or potential employer.
Note:**The online course does not include the 8 hours of hands on training required in the 40 hrs of initial training. Workers must also have 40 hrs of initial training before they may enter the site and at least three days of actual field experience under a trained, seasoned supervisor. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120. Note: The Online 40-Hour HAZWOPER training course meets the requirements set by the 29 CFR Part 1910.120 (e)(3)(i) for the 40-hours of instruction offsite training requirements. Additionally, three days of actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained, experienced supervisor may be required.

OSHA has developed the HAZWOPER program to protect workers at hazardous sites and has devised extensive regulations to ensure their safety and health. This course helps workers identify different types of hazards and suggests protective measures to reduce or eliminate hazards at the work place.
